0242 GMT - Telkom Indonesia (Persero)'s restructuring efforts are likely to weigh on near-term earnings, UOB Kay Hian analysts say in a research report. The telecom company's operating expenses could face pressure as it continues to implement its early retirement and efficiency programs, the analysts say. Telkom Indonesia also altered the depreciation method for several assets by shortening their useful lives. This has led to the restatement of the company's prior-year financial statements, one-off depreciation charges in 2025, and higher recurring depreciation expenses during 2026-2028. The brokerage lowers the stock's target price to 3,600.00 rupiah from 4,200.00 rupiah, with an unchanged buy rating. Shares are 2.05% higher at 2,990.00 rupiah. (ronnie.harui@wsj.com)
