SpaceX (SPCX) has agreed to lease its Colossus artificial intelligence training data center clusters to Amazon-backed (AMZN) Anthropic for only 180 days, SpaceX Chief Executive Elon Musk said in a Thursday post on social media platform X.
"The short term was our request, not Anthropic's," Musk said, adding that the deal comes with a 90-day notice for mutual cancellation.
"We won't leave them hanging and will provide a reasonable off-ramp, but if compute gets super tight I said we might need it back at some point," Musk said.
Anthropic did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for a comment.
