L'Oreal Looks Set to Reinforce Competitive Advantage With AI -- Market Talk

Dow Jones05-28

1043 GMT - L'Oreal should be able to reinforce its advantage in the market with the implementation of artificial intelligence, analysts at Barclays say in a note. A total of 28% of consumers already use generative AI for product recommendations, Barclays says, citing data from Euromonitor's March 2025 Digital Shopper Survey. This means beauty companies need to dominate large language model search engines and understand what drives the algorithms behind recommendations, Barclays adds. "This trend will only get stronger and will favor scaled well invested players like L'Oreal with strong data, differentiated science and the ability to optimize content at scale." Shares are up 0.9%.
