0752 GMT - Meituan's food-delivery unit-economics guidance for the June quarter could be a potential near-term catalyst for the stock, say Nomura analysts in a note. The Chinese food-delivery platform's underperformance relative to the Hang Seng Tech Index seems to be flow- and sentiment-driven rather than due to Meituan's fundamentals, they say. Rival Alibaba's loss reduction efforts for its quick commerce business this year could also ease competitive intensity for the sector, they add. The Meituan stock's recent weakness could therefore create a tactical opportunity trading ahead of its 1Q print, which is due June 1. Nomura maintains a neutral rating on Meituan. Shares fall 5.7% to HK$73.30. (megan.cheah@wsj.com)
