Samsung Electronics (KRX:005930) led smartphone sales in Central and South America, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia in the first quarter, The Korea Times reported Monday, citing data compiled by industry tracker Omdia.
The electronics products maker sold 12.9 million smartphones in Central and South America for a 37% market share, while accounting for 34% market share in the Middle East and 21% in Southeast Asia, the report said.
Strong Galaxy S26 sales and steady demand for the Galaxy A series helped the company expand market share, the report said, cited Omdia.
