MaxLinear (MXL) has entered into a partnership with GCT Semiconductor (GCTS) aimed at developing 5G fixed wireless access gateways and converged gateways for consumer and enterprise applications, the companies said Wednesday.
MaxLinear and GCT plan to pre-integrate MaxLinear Wi-Fi with GCT's cellular modem to deliver a cost-effective converged gateway solution that enables smooth migration between multiple WAN technologies, they said.
Financial terms of the partnership were not provided.
