Unilever (UL) is investing $270 million to construct a research center in New Haven, Connecticut, to develop skin and hair products for US and global markets, the Wall Street Journal reported Thursday, citing Herrish Patel, president of Unilever USA.
The center, the company's largest research and development infrastructure investment in the US in 40 years, is slated to open in 2029 and employ about 300 people, the report said.
Unilever did not immediately reply to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
