Adtran (ADTN) said Friday that it resolved a patent litigation case filed by a non-practicing entity, resulting in a full settlement and dismissal of all claims with prejudice.
The lawsuit, originally filed in 2020 over five patents, was transferred to the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama in 2021 after Adtran successfully sought the venue change, it said. The company later filed counterclaims, including allegations of bad-faith patent assertion under Alabama law, it added.
Adtran said the settlement includes a payment to the company tied to resolution of its counterclaims, though financial terms remain confidential.
