South Bow (SOBO) said Friday it secured 20-year binding transportation commitments through an open season process for its proposed Prairie Connector pipeline project connecting Hardisty, Alberta, to US delivery markets.
The company said the commitments support continued development of the cross-border crude oil pipeline ahead of a targeted final investment decision in mid-2027.
Prairie Connector would include about 380 km of new 36-inch pipeline from Hardisty to the Canada-US border, where it would connect with facilities operated by Bridger Pipeline.
The project would also use about 150 kilometers of previously installed pipeline and two pump stations, it added.
