Microsoft-backed (MSFT) OpenAI is launching tools to bolster new biodefense and pandemic preparedness capabilities, the company said Friday.
The company's new Rosalind Biodefense Program will help "trusted developers" create "new biodefense and pandemic preparedness capabilities," it said.
It is also granting access to its GPT-Rosalind model to select US government and other partners involved in public health and biodefense, the company said.
The company will also provide launch support for epidemiological modeling, early detection, screening, and public health preparedness, it said.
OpenAI said it has already briefed the White House and several US agencies.
