Nvidia shares were edging up Friday as the market looks ahead to the Computex conference next week.

Nvidia stock was up 0.5% at $215.41 in premarket trading. Shares are down 0.5% in the past five trading sessions but up 15% this year so far through Thursday's close.

The next catalyst for the stock is likely to be announcements at the Computex conference, the annual event which acts as a showcase for Taiwan's technology industry.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang is scheduled to give a speech in Taipei Monday morning local time.
