Lockheed Martin (LMT) said Wednesday it successfully intercepted a Group 3 one-way attack drone using a Joint-Air-to-Ground Missile launched from a GRIZZLY containerized launcher.
The company said the test took place at Yuma Proving Grounds in Arizona and was the first end-to-end demonstration of the system.
Lockheed said its Sanctum counter-drone battle management software detected and tracked the target, while Fortem R-40 radars supported targeting.
The system guided the missile from the launcher to destroy the drone, it added.
