0434 GMT - Shares of GigaDevice Semiconductor rise sharply in Hong Kong and Shanghai after FTSE Russell said its stocks would be added to the index provider's China index series. GigaDevice's H shares are 9.9% higher by the midday break, while its A shares increase 6.65%. Its H shares will be added to the FTSE China 50 Index along with Yangtze Optical Fibre & Cable, effective from the start of trading on June 22. Its A shares are among five companies that will be added to the FTSE China A50 Index, also effective June 22. Other stocks to be added to the FTSE China A50 Index also gained, with Shenzhen-listed shares of Suzhou Dongshan Precision Manufacturing and Weichai Power up 6.05% and 4.0%, respectively, at midday.
