Telkom Indonesia Stands to Gain From Continuing Projects -- Market Talk

Dow Jones06-04

0519 GMT - Telkom Indonesia (Persero) may benefit from continuing projects, Nomura's Heng Siong Kong says in a research report as the brokerage maintains a buy rating on the stock. It advanced to final negotiations with one to two bidders for a stake sale of up to 70% in its data-center assets, which is likely to be of significant value, the analyst says. Also, the telecom conglomerate's InfraNexia Phase 2 fiber transfer project paves the way for a strategic partnership process that could unlock embedded infrastructure value. However, Nomura cuts its 2026-2027 EPS forecasts for Telkom Indonesia by 8.4%-16.2%, partly to reflect the shortened useful economic life of some fiber-to-the-home assets. It lowers the stock's target price to 3,650.00 rupiah from 4,500.00 rupiah. Shares rise 0.7% to 2,870.00 rupiah. (ronnie.harui@wsj.com)
