Tesla, SpaceX Could Merge in 2027 After Latter's IPO -- Market Talk
Dow Jones10:22
0222 GMT - SpaceX and Tesla could merge in 2027 after SpaceX's IPO, Wedbush Securities analysts write in a note. The groundwork is already in place for both operations to become one organization, with Tesla holding an existing stake in SpaceX and the recent announcement of a joint Terafab chip facility between SpaceX and Tesla, they add. The overlap makes it more feasible to merge operations. "This listing represents the first major test for public markets after years of muted IPO activity with SpaceX paving the way for AI giants Anthropic and OpenAI to follow soon after," Wedbush adds.
