Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (TSM) CEO C.C. Wei said Thursday that AI-driven demand for advanced chips will continue to outpace the company's supply capacity for years, despite ongoing expansion efforts, multiple media outlets reported Thursday.

Speaking at TSMC's annual shareholder meeting, Wei reportedly said the chipmaker still cannot fully meet demand from major customers, including US technology companies. "It will be a long time before we can meet customer demand," he was quoted as saying.

TSMC also reaffirmed its forecast for more than 30% revenue growth in 2026, driven by continued AI spending, according to reports.
