HPE, Dell Earnings May Trigger Pull-In Concerns -- Market Talk

Dow Jones00:37

1237 ET - Earnings from HPE and Dell demonstrate near-term strength, but may raise longer term questions about server demand in an environment of pricing increases, UBS analysts write in a note. "While demand is strong and pricing robust, investors are likely to view the HPE and Dell server lens with a degree of caution given concerns of a pull-in," the analysts write, though noting that HPE executives reported firm commitments and no cancellations from customers. At least near-term, there's no sign of a slowdown, the analysts write, raising their price target to $65 from $25. (elias.schisgall@wsj.com)
