1343 GMT - Roche Holding's new breast-cancer drug will have a role for the treatment of the disease after an initial therapy like surgery, UBS analysts say. A presentation at the American Society of Clinical Oncology's annual meeting reaffirmed that the drug, giredestrant, delivered benefit to patients compared to the current standard of care, even if it isn't yet clear where it should be used, UBS says. "We continue to think that giredestrant will have a role to play in the treatment of adjuvant therapy and that the lidERA study indicates it is a better and more tolerable option than currently used endocrine therapies for medium risk patients," the analysts say.
