Nvidia (NVDA) has acquired Kumo AI, a five-year-old startup specializing in enterprise predictive AI, for more than $400 million, The Information reported Wednesday, citing a person familiar with the deal.
The acquisition, first revealed in a LinkedIn post by a Nvidia executive, is expected to broaden Nvidia's portfolio of AI models optimized for its hardware and available for enterprise customization, according to the report.
The startup's technology is expected to complement Nvidia's AI software stack, including its AI Foundry platform, but integration details have not been disclosed, the report added.
Nvidia shares were down 1.3% in Thursday premarket activity.
Nvidia did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
