Darling Ingredients Inc (DAR) and its health brand Rousselot said Wednesday the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has granted a patent for Nextida GC, a collagen peptide, a protein-derived compound broken down for easier absorption, designed to help manage after-meal blood sugar levels without pharmaceutical intervention.

The patent covers both the production process and the use of Nextida GC as a dietary supplement, the company said, positioning it as a natural option for metabolic support, the body's ability to regulate energy and blood glucose.
