CN Rail Hits Record Propane Exports to West Coast of Canada

Canadian National Railway said it has reached an all-time monthly record for propane shipments moving from Alberta to British Columbia.

The railroad on Thursday said that carloads between Beamer, Alberta, to Watson Island, British Columbia, have increased 40% from May of last year.

CN Rail said that it has achieved this record level while staying within its existing commercial arrangements, benefiting from train-length optimizations, improved network efficiency and strong execution across the corridor.

The previous monthly record was set in August 2024.
