Airbus Plane Deliveries Expected to Pick Up in Second Quarter -- Market Talk

1009 GMT - Airbus is expected to report an uptick in commercial aircraft deliveries for May and June, Bank of America's Benjamin Heelan writes in a note to clients. The European plane maker likely dispatched about 70 planes to customers last month, Heelan estimates. Airbus also has a buffer of roughly 25 aircraft that are ready for handover and support June deliveries, Heelan says. Airbus delivered 181 planes between January and the end of April and the company is aiming for about 870 this year. Airbus shares trade 1.9% lower at 176.28 euros. (mauro.orru@wsj.com)
