Iren shares rose after the company announced a data center campus in Australia.

The stock advanced 5.8% to $70.49 in pre-market trading Wednesday. Through Tuesday's close, shares were up 76% this year.

The data center owner and operator said it has signed a transmission connection agreement to support a planned 800-megawatt data center campus in Bundey, South Australia.

The project marks Iren's first Australia data center project and one of the biggest of its kind in the Asia-Pacific region.
