Old Dominion Freight Line said that demand has improved as the current quarter progressed and that it produced solid revenue growth for the first two months of the quarter.
For May, revenue per day rose 12% as compared May 2025 due to an increase in less-than-truckload revenue per hundredweight that was partially offset by a 3.8% decrease in less-than-truckload tons per day.
Less-than-truckload shipments per day fell 5.3%, while weight per shipment rose 1.6%.
For the quarter-to-date, less-than-truckload revenue per hundredweight increased 16%. Excluding fuel surcharges, it rose 5.4%.
