Super Micro Computer, Arm Partner on Energy-Efficient AI Servers

Super Micro Computer (SMCI) said Tuesday it partnered with Arm (ARM) to introduce a new line of computing platforms featuring Arm AGI processors.

The hardware includes air-cooled and liquid-cooled servers designed specifically for artificial intelligence data centers, the company said.

The equipment merges modular designs with specialized processors to reduce energy demand and maximize data processing capacity, Super Micro Computer said.

The processor technology can double computing performance per rack compared with traditional hardware setups, it said.

Shares of the company were up 5.2% in Tuesday premarket activity.
