Suzlon Energy (NSE:SUZLON, BOM:532667) is expanding beyond wind turbines into integrated renewable energy parks combining wind, solar and battery storage, Bloomberg News reported Thursday, citing an interview with Vice Chairman Girish Tanti.
The company plans to help customers develop, operate and maintain round-the-clock clean energy projects amid growing energy security concerns, Tanti told Bloomberg.
He said India added a record 6.3 GW of wind capacity in 2025, with installations expected to exceed 8 GW in 2026, according to the report.
Suzlon aims to increase its managed energy asset portfolio fourfold to 70 GW over the next five years, the report said, citing a company statement. It also plans to set up a battery energy storage manufacturing facility by next year, the report added.
