International General Insurance (IGIC) has received registration approval from the International Financial Services Centres Authority to operate an insurance office in India's GIFT City, the company said Monday.
The new branch will operate as a reinsurance unit through the company's UK subsidiary and is expected to begin operations later this year, it added.
