Aldoro Resources (ASX:ARN) said a maiden hydrometallurgical testwork program conducted on a high-grade composite sample from its Kameelburg project in Namibia extracted rare earth elements and strontium, according to a Friday Australian bourse filing.

It confirmed that strontium and rare earth elements can be secured using a conventional hydrochloric acid leach circuit. Strontium extraction of greater than 99% was achieved consistently across all acid leach tests. Up to around 72% total rare earth element extraction was achieved in cumulative leach plus re-leach testwork.

Calcium extraction exceeded 94% in all primary leach tests.

Its shares rose 3% in recent trading on Friday.
