Haleon (HLN) said Monday it plans to invest about 175 million pounds ($233.1 million) to build a new oral health manufacturing facility in Madhya Pradesh and expand distribution across rural India.

The company said the new plant, expected to open in 2028 with production beginning in 2029, will supply both India and other Asian markets.

The project is expected to create up to 500 jobs, Haleon said, adding that it also plans to expand its sales teams, offer lower-cost toothpaste packs, and increase direct outreach through mobile health teams and oral health education programs to support growth in underserved areas.

Haleon said it expects to expand its rural distribution network to more than 3 million outlets by 2030, increasing the availability of oral care brands such as Sensodyne and Parodontax to reach more than 300 million additional consumers in India.
