Bitcoin Lower as ETF Outflow Slows Down -- Market Talk

Dow Jones06-11 00:26

1226 ET - Money is still moving out of bitcoin, but the pace is slowing according to data from CoinGlass. ETFs had a net outflow of $77.4 million Tuesday, extending the streak of negative days for money flows but that compares to the $519.1 million outflow reported at this time last week. Sentiment is negative among analysts in the cryptocurrency space, but the situation isn't necessarily catastrophic, says Nigel Green of deVere Group in a note. "This is a difficult period for the market, but by historical standards it remains relatively mild," says Green, pointing to previous cycles where BTC shed 75%-85% of its value before rebounding to new highs. Bitcoin is down 0.4% to $61,854, according to data from LSEG. (kirk.maltais@wsj.com)
