Neurizon Therapeutics (ASX:NUZ) said it dosed over 50% of participants in the first regimen of a trial evaluating NUZ-001 for the treatment of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or ALS, according to a Friday filing with the Australian bourse.
ALS is neurological disorder that destroys the nerve cells that control voluntary muscle movement.
The company said it surpassed the 50% dosing milestone ahead of schedule, with 129 of 240 participants now dosed, with recruitment momentum also tracking ahead of expectations.
Neurizon is well-positioned for last participant dosing in the second quarter of 2027 and for the planned release of top-line results early in the third quarter of 2027.
