Tutor Perini (TPC) said Thursday it has been awarded a task order worth around $651.8 million for a project to improve resiliency and reliability of power infrastructure on Naval Base Guam.
The project, awarded by the US Navy's Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Pacific, aims to replace existing primary and secondary overhead electrical distribution feeders with new underground circuit conductors within concrete-encased duct banks, according to a statement.
Design is set to start in August, with construction to begin April 2027 and targeted to be completed in June 2031, the company said.
Tutor Perini said the task order will be included in its Q2 backlog, and executed through a joint venture with its Guam-based subsidiary Black Construction.
Shares of Tutor Perini were up 1.5% pre-bell Thursday.
