Indonesia Consumer Sector Appears to Be Safe Haven -- Market Talk
Dow Jones06-11
0414 GMT - Indonesia's consumer sector appears to be a tactical safe haven, UOB Kay Hian analysts say in a note. As there are rising policy intervention risks for other sectors including commodities, the consumer industry looks more attractive now. The sector's valuations have also been sharply de-rated, mostly pricing in negatives from macro headwinds such as a weaker rupiah and fiscal risks. UOB KH maintains a market weight rating on Indonesia's consumer sector, pegging Cisarua Mountain Dairy, Japfa Comfeed Indonesia, Mayora Indah and Sumber Alfaria Trijaya as its top picks.
