Viasat, Intelsat Awarded $437.7 Million Contracts by US Space Force for Anti-Jam Satellites

ViaSat (VSAT) and Intelsat General Communications were awarded two contracts worth a total of $437.7 million under the protected tactical SATCOM, global PTS-G program to provide anti-jam satellite communications, the US Space Force said.

The awards cover the production of the first two operational satellites of the PTS-G system, known as "Swarm 1," including manufacturing, integration and test, launch, and on-orbit checkout, according to a statement.

PTS-G is a key component of the USSF's SATCOM architecture, designed to provide tactical warfighters with a worldwide, transponded system, the statement added.
