Japanese shares rose at Tuesday's open following a recovery on Wall Street, as Middle East tensions showed signs of cooling.
The Nikkei 225 climbed 600.7 points or 0.9% to open at 64,625.26.
Iran and Israel agreed to reduce strikes that had threatened peace talks, according to various reports, while Brent crude held steady around $94 per barrel after paring previous gains.
