Perplexity plans to go public in 2028 regardless of how the market receives Microsoft-backed (MSFT) OpenAI and Amazon-backed (AMZN) Anthropic's planned IPOs, CNBC reported Tuesday, citing the company's chief executive, Aravind Srinivas.
The comments came after Anthropic confidentially filed for an initial public offering last week and OpenAI confidentially filed for an IPO on Monday, CNBC reported.
"We were planning for something in 2028 so that still remains the case," he was quoted as saying.
Perplexity did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.
