Digital Companies Are Widening Competitive Gap Amid Rise of AI, L'Oreal Says -- Market Talk

Dow Jones06-10 00:52

1650 GMT - The gap between leading digital companies and the rest is widening rapidly in the age of artificial intelligence, global director of ecommerce, tech and data analytics at L'Oreal, Beyza Kapu, says. Digital-native organizations have a competitive advantage because they can quickly test new tools thanks to their resources, Kapu says at the ShopTalk Europe conference in Barcelona. To succeed, what matters isn't having the best AI tools, but rather the willingness of teams to adapt and work differently, she says. Companies should experiment with AI and create a space for their teams to adapt rather than refusing to change, Kapu says. (andrea.figueras@wsj.com)
