Health-care companies rose, but not by as much as the broad market, as traders rotated back into the tech sector.

Novo Nordisk said its Wegovy weight-loss pill received commercial approval in the U.K., marking the first green light in Europe for the oral version of the drug. Shares of the Danish drug maker rose, but remain deep in the red for the year to date, as it struggles to keep up with demand and lofty Wall Street expectations and copes with intensifying generic and branded competition in the anti-obesity category.
