Summit Hotel Properties' executive vice president and chief financial officer, William Conkling, is leaving the real-estate investment trust for personal reasons.

Summit on Friday said Conkling, who joined the Austin, Texas, company in his current post in May 2021, will depart on June 15 but will remain available in an advisory capacity through the end of September.

Summit said it has hired a search firm to identify Conkling's successor, adding that Jonathan Stanner, its president and chief executive, will assume the additional role of principal financial officer.
