0544 GMT - Rolls-Royce has an attractive foundation to develop its aviation engines portfolio in the medium term, Berenberg analysts say in a research note. The U.K. engine maker has the youngest fleet on a thrust-adjusted basis--an engine performance metric--at 12.0 years, the analysts say. Safran and MTU have fleets of 12.2 years and 14.5 years, respectively, the analysts add. Rolls-Royce has also seen the highest growth in flight hours year-to-date, the analysts say. "Rolls-Royce is our top pick in commercial aerospace," they add. The analysts raise their recommendation on the stock to buy from hold and their price target to 14.30 pounds from 12.70 pounds. Shares closed at 12.53 pounds on Thursday. (nina.kienle@wsj.com)
