AeroVironment (AVAV) said Thursday it has signed a memorandum of understanding with Taiwan-based computing provider Ubiqconn to advance uncrewed systems and mission management abilities.

The partnership focuses on combining command software into rugged hardware to satisfy drone purchasing requirements for the Taiwanese military, the company said.

The specialized software will enable personnel to control multiple drone models from different manufacturers through a single interface, AeroVironment said.

Ubiqconn will supply the hardware components for compatibility evaluation and manage local demonstrations to government stakeholders, it said.
