Northern Trust Secures Regulatory Approval for New Banking Branch In Ireland

Northern Trust (NTRS) said Monday it obtained a license from the Central Bank of Ireland to launch a new domestic banking branch.

The facility will deliver custodial, capital markets, and regulated banking services to locally domiciled clients, the company said.

The operation will supplement the financial institution's existing continental European bank in Luxembourg and will also allow it to provide services to European Union clients locally, Northern Trust said.
