1039 GMT - B&M European Value Retail's back-to-basics program is addressing core issues in its U.K. business, Shore Capital analysts David Hughes and Clive Black write. "This strategy looks at four key areas, namely price positioning, promotional execution, range complexity and poor on-shelf availability," the analysts say. The London-listed discount retailer made progress on availability and its range of products, but the big challenge will be communicating value to customers, they say. Shore Capital cuts its rating on the stock to hold from buy, but keeps its 215 pence target price. Shares are down 2.9% at 194.70 pence but are up 15% over the year to date. (ian.walker@wsj.com)
