1323 GMT - Investors will probably give little credit in the near term to an obesity drug candidate that Roche and Zealand Pharma are jointly developing, UBS analysts say in a research note. The obesity market is hungry for medicines that can deliver modest weight loss with a pristine tolerability, which is exactly the profile of so-called amylin drugs like Zealand and Roche's petrelintide, the analysts say. That said, it will take time for the companies to finish clinical development of the drug and rival Eli Lilly has a time advantage with its own amylin product, eloralintide, as well as a proven commercial track record, they add. Zealand shares fall 4.8%, while Roche's fall 0.5%. (adria.calatayud@wsj.com)
