1042 GMT - The global economy is heading toward a 'soft landing,' according to 47% of investors polled in Bank of America's global fund manager survey in June. Under a soft landing, inflation is mitigated without the economy slowing significantly. Forty percent of fund managers surveyed expect 'no landing', while just 5% expect a 'hard landing,' where inflation is tamed but at the expense of a significant economic slowdown. Forty percent of investors expect at least one interest-rate hike by the Federal Reserve in the next 12 months, up from 16% in May, the Bank of America's June global fund manager survey finds. This month 28% expect at least one rate cut, which is down sharply from 50% last month, the survey finds. Meanwhile, 28% of respondents expect no change to Fed funds rate in the next 12 months, it says. The survey was carried out between June 5 and June 11, BofA says. (emese.bartha@wsj.com)
