Astrotech Board Approves Potential Sale Process for 1st Detect Unit

Astrotech (ASTC) said Tuesday its board has approved the potential sale process of its 1st Detect unit, the developer of the TRACER 1000 explosives and narcotics trace detection product.

The company said it is assessing a potential sale to provide additional capital for a planned lunar mining initiative.

Astrotech shares were down more than 9% in premarket trading.
