Major digital assets rose Monday, with Bitcoin (BTC-USD) topping $66,000.
The CoinDesk Market Index, which tracks dozens of digital assets including Bitcoin, rose almost 7.5% in the past 24 hours. The Nasdaq 100 climbed 3.1%, the S&P 500 gained 1.7%, and the Dow Jones Industrial Average increased 0.9%.
Bitcoin rose 4.3% to $66,514, according to CoinMarketCap data. The most popular cryptocurrency's 24-hour trading volume rose 138.2% to $37.81 billion.
Ethereum (ETH-USD), the second-largest digital asset by market value, added 9.5% to $1,823.
XRP (XRP-USD) rose 12.2%, BNB (BNB-USD) added 2.9%, and Solana (SOL-USD) surged 11.6%. Dogecoin (DOGE-USD) increased 2.9%, while Cardano (ADA-USD) gained 12.1%.
The US 10-year Treasury yield stood at 4.469% at 3 p.m. ET Monday, down from 4.487% Friday, while the five-year yield fell to 4.186% from 4.213%.
The total market value of the cryptocurrency industry rose 4.8% in the past 24 hours to $2.28 trillion, with trading volume gaining 117.3% to $99.33 billion.
