Singapore's Exports Growth Likely Accelerated in May, WSJ Poll Shows -- Market Talk
Dow Jones06-16
0118 GMT - Singapore's non-oil domestic exports in May likely rose 31.25% compared with the same period a year earlier, higher than April's 24.5% growth, according to the median estimate from a Wall Street Journal poll of eight economists. The robust momentum expected would mainly be a reflection of continued strength in electronics exports, driven by global artificial intelligence-driven demand, DBS economists said in a note. NODX growth is also likely to be supported by low base effects, DBS added. The data are due Wednesday.(amanda.lee@wsj.com)
