BYD (HKG:1211) plans to sell its seven-seater Great Tang sport utility vehicle (SUV) in Europe by the end of 2026, building on strong demand for the vehicle on a domestic level, Bloomberg News reported Thursday.
The automaker's all-electric Great Tang will launch in Europe and the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region by the end of this year or early next year, the news agency cited a senior company executive, Stella Li, in an interview in Rome.
The model has witnessed more than 150,000 orders since its introduction at the Beijing Auto Show in April, comprising 100,000 bookings within the first two weeks of presales, Li, who is also BYD's executive vice president, said.
