Avita Medical (ASX:AVH) said its Recell GO wound care system was successfully evaluated in the UK, with investigators reporting healing and complete graft take across a range of burn and reconstructive procedures, according to a late Thursday statement.
The medical system prepares a patient's own skin cells into a liquid that can be sprayed directly onto wounds to promote healing.
Recell data presented during the British Burn Association's annual meeting also pointed to workflow benefits, including reduced procedural variability, improved consistency of cell preparation, and enhanced operating room efficiency, the company said.
